Rias Baixas.

The Rías Baixas are part of Galicia’s Atlantic Coast, stretching from Finisterre to the Ría de Vigo. From north to south, they include the Ría de Corcubión, the Ría de Muros y Noya, the Ría de Arosa, the Ría de Pontevedra, and the Ría de Aldán.

Exploring the Rías Baixas, you will find many charming fishing villages such as Combarro, O Grove, Cambados, etc., valleys filled with vineyards, and paradisiacal beaches, as well as historical monuments and hiking trails. Rías Altas and A Costa da Morte.

Our hotel is located 61 kilometers from La Coruña, a city where the Tower of Hercules stands, the only Roman lighthouse that has been preserved and the oldest still in operation in the world. It is recommended to also visit the Castle of San Antón and the houses with balconies typical of Galicia’s climate.

In its old town, you’ll find the porticoed María Pita Square, surrounded by narrow pedestrian streets. In this square stands the statue of María Pita, who in 1589 warned and thwarted Sir Francis Drake’s attempt to land in response to the Spanish Armada expedition.

It also features several museums and is a delight to stroll through its old town and maritime promenades.

Very close to La Coruña, you’ll find the Rías Altas and Costa da Morte. Along this coast, you can enjoy deserted beaches, coves, and cliffs. The capes, such as Fisterra, Touriñán, and Vilán, jut into a rugged ocean with stunning landscapes and charming seaside towns like Betanzos, Ortigueira, Cedeira, or Pontedeume waiting for you.

Ribeira Sacra and Ourense.

Our hotel is located 95 kilometers from Ribeira Sacra and Monforte de Lemos. This area has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and could be defined as one of the best-kept secrets of inland Galicia.

Here you will find several medieval monasteries and numerous rural chapels. The Mencía grape and its heroic viticulture are hallmarks of Ribeira Sacra wine with its designation of origin. Its vineyards are terraced on cliffs along the southern slope of the Sil River, where you can visit wineries and “colleiteiros,” the small artisan winemakers.

A visit to the city of Ourense is also worthwhile, just 110 kilometers from the hotel, known for its thermal waters, its Cathedral, and the Roman bridge that crosses the Miño River.
